Today was THAT Day.

I've been waiting for the day when their lack of cooperation would align with my lack of patience. Today was that day. I knew it would come, everything had been so smooth until today. I knew they would only be able to give me 100 percent for so long before they'd crack. I knew I was pushing the limits of their cooperation. When lessons have been optional, I made them do it. When it said to review what they'd learned already, I made them jump to the next lesson. Finally they broke. They being Cole and Faith mostly; both unable to focus, both prefering simply to crack jokes with each other and screw around at the table. In three hours we had gotten nowhere, so rather than get frustrated, I called off school. Today was THAT day. Tomorrow will be better.
