The First Day of eClasses.

Yesterday was our first day of eClasses. This is the most 'virtual' aspect of virtual school. Each child signs in to the portal at their allotted time to participate and interact in a lesson.  This is one of the two regularly scheduled opportunities where they'll have the opportunity to interact with their classmates as well as Dr. W.  It went really well, each child found the interface fairly easy, and I think they were excited to hear Dr. W.'s voice.  Faith was the most nervous. She even blushed when called upon to tell a brief tidbit about her summer. To which she answered, "Our family moved over the summer." The most surprising thing was that Cole was the most eager to answer questions, and moaned when he 'raised his hand' and someone else was called upon to answer. I have a feeling that not having to interact with the teacher and classmates face to face is just fine by him. All in all it was a smooth day of virtual classes, and we still managed to get a decent portion of our curriculum lessons done too. Check and check.
