+ Pencils are the matching socks of home school. Those suckers grow legs and walk away, never to be seen again. If you'd like to donate pencils let me know. Also, could you please sharpen them first. We do A LOT of sharpening around here. Oh, and brand matters. Do you have any idea how frustrating it is to sharpen and sharpen and then just have the lead fall out? Lame. I have a whole new respect for those insane Palm Beach school supply lists.
+ History is so much more interesting than I remember it being. The look on my kids faces when I announce the history lesson tells me that they think otherwise. [Note: this is the first time any of them have even had History. I think something is wrong with that.]
+ It was hard for me to fill in the blank for school on the girls' gymnastics emergency forms. Seriously, why does the word 'home school' make me feel so awkward and Amish?
